Heavy rain, as well as dirt, snow and ice, can prevent detection of vehicles ahead. If necessary, clean the radar sensor located in the front bumper, see arrow. Remove snow and ice especially thoroughly.

If the sensor is misaligned, Active Cruise Control will not switch on.
