Diesel engine: checking the oil level

1. Warm up the engine to operating temperature by driving at least 10 km, and park the vehicle on a level surface.

2. Switch off the engine.

3. After approx. 5 minutes, remove the oil dipstick 6 and wipe it with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.

4. Carefully insert the dipstick fully into the tube and pull it out again.

The normal level is between the two marks on the dipstick.

The difference between the two marks on the oil dipstick corresponds to approximately 1 liter.

Do not fill oil above the upper mark. Excess oil damages the engine.◄
