Topping up engine oil

Add oil (no more than 1 L) only when the indicated warning lamp lights up in the instrument cluster, or (for gasoline engines) when the display shows "+1l" during the oil level check, or (for diesel engines) when the oil level is close to the lower mark on the dipstick.

Add oil before the distance driven since the last check exceeds 200 km, otherwise the engine may be damaged.◄

Keep oils and lubricants out of the reach of children and observe all instructions on their packaging. Improper handling of oils and lubricants may be harmful to health.◄

Have oil changes performed only at a BMW service center.
