Touring: removing and installing the luggage compartment floor cover (storage compartment)

1. Lift the rear floor cover.
2. Detach both safety straps from the upper mounts.

3. Disconnect the gas-filled shock absorber, see arrow, and remove it.

4. To unlock the cover, tilt it away from you. Remove the cover.

5. Open the front cover.
6. Lift the spare wheel cover and hook its catch onto the upper frame.
7. Remove the crossmember by lifting it up.

To install the floor cover, reverse the removal sequence. Press the cover hinges down.
