The airbag system consists of several separate systems.

Deployed airbags inflate within milliseconds. Furthermore, they deflate so quickly that the airbag deployment is often not noticed at the moment of impact.

Improper intervention may cause the airbag to deploy explosively.

The airbag and seat belt pretensioner control modules are located in the center console. Do not bring magnetized objects close to them.

Do not attach foreign objects to airbag covers and do not cover them with other materials.

Each airbag deploys only once. Replace deployed airbags at a service station.

Modifications to the airbag system are not permitted; doing so will void the vehicle's operating approval.

After airbag deployment, removal of the steering wheel, instrument panel, all trim components, door seals, door handles and seats must be performed at a service station.
