Wheel change
On some vehicles, a tire repair kit is provided instead of the spare wheel 156.
Perform the following preparatory work and observe the following instructions:
• Park the vehicle on a level, solid, non-slip surface. The front wheels must be pointed straight ahead.
• Apply the parking brake, select first gear, reverse gear, or set the selector lever to position P.
• Remove the spare wheel.
• Do not change more than one wheel at a time.
• Use the jack only for changing a wheel after a puncture, not for changing summer tires to winter tires or vice versa.
• If the ground where the vehicle is stopped is soft, place a solid base (maximum thickness 1 cm) under the jack.
• There must be no people or animals in the raised vehicle.
• Do not get under a vehicle raised on a jack.
• Do not start the engine while the vehicle is raised.
• Clean the wheel nuts and threads before installing the wheel.

1. Pry off the wheel nut caps with a screwdriver and remove them.
Remove the wheel cover using the hook. Vehicle tool 152.
Alloy wheels: Pry off the wheel nut caps with a screwdriver and remove them. To protect the wheels, place soft cloth between the screwdriver and the alloy wheel.

2. Assemble the wheel wrench, make sure it is seated securely, then loosen each wheel nut by half a turn.

3. Make sure the jack is positioned at the vehicle jacking points.

4. Extend the jack to the required height and place it directly at the jacking point so that it cannot slip.
Install the jack handle and, watching the jack position, turn it until the wheel is lifted off the ground.
5. Remove the wheel nuts.
6. Replace the wheel.
7. Install the wheel nuts.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Install the wheel wrench, make sure it is seated securely, and tighten the nuts in a crisscross sequence. The bolts must be tightened to a torque of 150 N·m.
10. Before installing the wheel cover, align the valve hole in it with the tire valve.
Install the wheel nut caps.
12. Check the tire pressure of the installed wheel and the wheel nut torque as soon as possible.
