After-sales operations: immobiliser transponder diagram for V6 automatic gearbox engine

Important: When returning a control unit or BSI under warranty, the customer access code must be attached to it.

The components involved in the immobiliser function of the vehicle must be paired.

The pairing procedure using a unique code can be carried out in after-sales.

APPRENTISSAGE DES CLES

KEY LEARNING

The identifier of each key must be stored in the BSI to allow the vehicle to start.

The BSI can store a maximum of 5 keys.

To store a new key in the BSI, all keys must be relearned.

Likewise, if a key is lost or stolen, relearning the keys still in the customer's possession will deactivate the identifier of the missing key in the BSI memory.

PROGRAMMING THE CUSTOMER ACCESS CODE

The customer access code is programmed using the diagnostic tool.

BSI REPLACEMENT

When replacing the BSI, it is necessary to:

  • program the customer access code into memory.
  • relearn all keys.

Important: The operator has 3 attempts to enter the code into the BSI memory. After that, the learning process is disabled for 1 minute.

Note: The customer access code cannot be read from the BSI.

ENGINE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT

When replacing the engine control module, it is necessary to:

  • program the customer access code into the engine control module,
  • pair the engine control module with the BSI.

When the engine control module is installed on the vehicle in the aftersales network, the customer access code must be programmed into the engine control module using the diagnostic tool.

Three attempts to program the customer access code are possible. The last attempt is final.

The pairing performed at the request of the tool is intended to lock the access code after the engine control module has been programmed. This makes it impossible to exchange the code.
