Volumetric protection
Volumetric protection detects any intrusion into the passenger compartment by analysing movement or changes in air volume using ultrasonic volumetric sensors.
Volumetric protection of the passenger compartment becomes active 45 seconds after the alarm is armed.
Triggering: volumetric protection
The ultrasonic volumetric sensors detect any significant change in air volume inside the passenger compartment.
Note: The anti-theft alarm control unit does not trigger the siren for changes in air volume inside the passenger compartment caused by temperature variations.
Deactivation: volumetric protection
Voluntary deactivation
Volumetric protection can be deactivated voluntarily after +APC is switched off, by pressing the volumetric alarm switch for more than 1 second.
The alarm must be armed within 5 minutes of deactivation, otherwise the deactivation is not taken into account and the LED goes out.
The deactivation request is confirmed by the LED lighting steadily (the LED flashes as soon as the alarm is armed).
Automatic deactivation
Volumetric protection is deactivated automatically:
- after 10 triggers during the same armed period,
- or after a request to partially open the windows made by remote control,
- or if the sunroof is open.
