Procedure for having your vehicle towed or for towing another vehicle using a removable mechanical device.

The towing eye is stored in the jack protective housing located in the spare wheel.

To access it:

  • open the boot,
  • open the boot,
  • Remove the towing eye from the jack protective housing.

  • In the front bumper, unclip the cover by pressing its upper part.
  • Screw the towing eye in as far as it will go.
  • Fit the towing bar.
  • Switch on the hazard warning lights on the towed vehicle.
  • Switch on the hazard warning lights on the towed vehicle.
Failure to observe this point may damage certain braking components and result in no brake assistance when the engine is restarted.

  • In the rear bumper, unclip the cover by pressing:
  • on the right (Saloon),
  • at the bottom (Tourer).
  • Screw the towing eye in as far as it will go.
  • Fit the towing bar.
  • Switch on the hazard warning lights on the towed vehicle.
When towing with all four wheels on the ground, always use a towing bar. When towing with only two wheels on the ground, always use professional lifting equipment. When towing with the engine switched off, there is no longer brake or steering assistance.
