Configuration

The user can adjust the following settings from the multifunction display:

  • route calculation optimisation,
  • volume,
  • language used.

Everyday use

The "Navigation / guidance" menu allows the user to activate guidance in several different ways:

  • by entering the address of a new destination,
  • by choosing a service (hotel, station, airport, bank, etc.) available in a town,
  • by choosing an address previously stored in one of the two directories.

Method of accessing the various functions using the remote control:

  • press the "MENU" button on the remote control,
  • move the cursor using the arrow buttons,
  • confirm the selection.

At any time, a single press of the "ESC" button returns to the previous menu page. A long press returns to the main screen.

The "MODE" button displays one of the following screen functions:

  • radio,
  • trip computer,
  • date,
  • satellite guidance.

Important: The satellite guidance system can only be used from the remote control.

Subscription

The user must return the response card to NavTech as soon as possible, which allows them to subscribe to the following services:

  • a free update of the CD-ROM mapping data after a few months,
  • preferential rates on other databases for the various countries.

A customer may subsequently take out a subscription with NavTech for the country or countries of their choice, if they wish to always have the latest updates.

Note: In normal use, the navigation system does not require any subscription: it is fully self-contained using the CD-ROM.

If an outdated CD-ROM is used, some information provided by the navigation computer may no longer be valid due to changes to the road network.
