Parking assistance
System consisting of proximity sensors, fitted in the front and/or rear bumper.
It detects any obstacle (person, vehicle, tree, barrier, ...) behind the vehicle, but it cannot detect obstacles located just below the bumper.
An object such as a post, a roadworks marker or any similar object may be detected at the start of the manoeuvre, but may no longer be detected when the vehicle gets close to it.

Graphic and audible parking assistance front AND/OR rear
Parking assistance is activated:
- by engaging reverse gear,
- at a speed below 10 km/h in forward gear.
It is accompanied by an audible signal and/or the display of the vehicle on the multifunction screen.
Proximity information is given by:
- an audible signal, which speeds up the closer the vehicle gets to the obstacle,
- a graphic on the multifunction screen, with bars getting closer to the vehicle.
The obstacle is located according to the audible signal emitted through the speakers: front or rear and right or left.
When the "vehicle/obstacle" distance is less than approximately thirty centimetres, the audible signal becomes continuous and/or the "Danger" symbol appears on the multifunction screen.
Parking assistance is deactivated:
- when you leave reverse gear,
- when the speed is above 10 km/h in forward gear,
- when the vehicle has been stationary for more than three seconds in forward gear.
- Press button A, the indicator light comes on, the system is fully deactivated.
The system is automatically deactivated when a trailer is towed or a bicycle carrier is fitted (vehicle fitted with a towing bracket or a bicycle carrier recommended by CITROËN).
Reactivation
Reactivation
- Press button A again, the indicator light goes out, the system is reactivated.
In bad or wintry weather, make sure the sensors are not covered by mud, frost or snow. When reverse gear is engaged, a long beep indicates that the sensors may be dirty.
When the vehicle is travelling at a speed below approximately 10 km/h, certain sound sources (motorcycle, lorry, jackhammer, ...) may trigger the parking assistance audible signals.
