When one of the following warning lights comes on, it confirms that the corresponding system has been manually deactivated.

This may be accompanied by a warning tone and a message on the multifunction display.

Cause

Operation / Notes
Front passenger airbag system steadily. The switch in the glove box is in the "OFF" position. The front passenger airbag is deactivated.

A child seat facing rearwards may be installed, except in the event of an airbag malfunction (airbag warning light on).

 To activate the front passenger airbag, set the switch to the "ON" position.

In this case, do not install a child seat facing rearwards.
