Engine oil level indicator

On versions equipped with an electronic indicator, the message confirming the correct engine oil level is shown in the instrument cluster for a few seconds after the ignition is switched on, following the service information.
The oil level check is reliable only when the vehicle is on level ground and the engine has been switched off for more than 30 minutes.
Oil level correct

Oil level low
Indicated by the "OIL" light flashing, together with the service light coming on, an audible signal and a message.
If the low oil level is confirmed by the manual dipstick, top up the level as soon as possible to avoid engine damage.
See the section "Checking fluid levels".

Oil level indicator fault
Indicated by the "OIL--" light flashing.
Contact a CITROËN dealership or a qualified workshop.
If the electronic indicator is faulty, the engine oil level is no longer monitored.
While the system is faulty, check the engine oil level using the manual dipstick located in the engine compartment.
See the section "Checking fluid levels".
