Engaging 5th or 6th gear

  • Move the gear selector lever fully to the right to correctly select 5th or 6th gear.
Failure to observe this may cause irreparable damage to the gearbox (for example, engaging 3rd or 4th gear by mistake).

Engaging reverse gear

  • Lift the collar under the knob and move the gear selector lever to the left and forward.

Engage reverse gear only when the vehicle is stationary and the engine is idling.

For safety reasons and to make starting the engine easier:
  • always select neutral,
  • depress the clutch pedal.

The electronically-controlled 5- or 6-speed gearbox offers a choice between the comfort of automatic gear changes and the enjoyment of manual gear changes.

The gearbox offers two control modes:

  • automated mode, with automatic gear changes, without driver intervention,
  • manual mode, with sequential gear changes by the driver, using the gear selector lever or the steering wheel controls.

In automated mode, you can take temporary control of gear changes at any time using the steering wheel controls.
