Manual mode

~1min read
  • Select position M to change through the six gears sequentially.
  • Move the selector toward the + sign to upshift.
  • Move the selector toward the - sign to downshift.

A gear change is carried out only if vehicle speed and engine torque allow it; otherwise the automatic mode rules apply.

The D indicator disappears and the selected gears appear one after another in the instrument cluster display.

If engine speed is too low or too high, the selected gear flashes for a few seconds, then the gear actually engaged is displayed.

Switching from position D (automatic mode) to M (manual mode) can be done at any time.

After stopping or at low speed, the gearbox automatically engages first gear.

Incorrect gear in manual mode

This symbol is displayed if
the gear is incorrectly selected (selector between two gears).

Stopping the vehicle

Before switching off the engine, you can select position P or N to engage neutral.

In both cases, apply the parking brake to immobilise the vehicle.

If the selector lever is not in position P, a warning message appears on the display when the driver's door is opened, or about 45 seconds after the ignition is switched off.
  • Move the selector lever back to position P; the message will disappear.

When driving through flooded roads or water, drive slowly.
