Low tyre pressure detection
In this manual: Safety
~1min read
The system provides automatic tyre pressure monitoring while driving.
The system monitors the pressure in all four tyres as soon as the vehicle is moving.
It compares the information provided by the wheel speed sensors with reference values, which must be initialised after each tyre pressure adjustment or after a wheel change.
The system triggers an alarm as soon as a drop in air pressure is detected in one or more tyres.
The low tyre pressure detection system does not replace driver vigilance. This system does not relieve you of the obligation to check tyre pressures monthly (including the spare wheel), as well as before setting off on a long journey. Driving with under-inflated tyres impairs road holding, increases braking distances and causes premature tyre wear, especially in difficult driving conditions (heavy load, high speed, long journeys).Driving with under-inflated tyres increases fuel consumption.
The recommended tyre pressures for your vehicle are shown on the tyre pressure label. For more information on identification elements, refer to the relevant section. Check tyre pressures "cold" (vehicle stationary for at least 1 hour, or after driving at moderate speed for less than 10 km). Otherwise ("hot"), add 0.3 bar to the values shown on the label.Test yourself
