Replacing a bulb

~1min read
The headlamps have polycarbonate lenses coated with a protective varnish:
  • do not clean them with a dry or abrasive cloth, or with detergent or solvent,
  • use a sponge and water with soap or a neutral pH cleaner,
  • when washing with a pressure washer to remove stubborn dirt, do not direct the water jet at the headlamps, lamps and their housings for too long, to avoid damaging the varnish and seals.
Replace bulbs only when the headlamps have been switched off for several minutes (risk of severe burns).
  • Do not touch the bulb directly with your fingers: use lint-free cloths.
To avoid damaging the headlamp, use only UV-filtering bulbs. Replace a faulty bulb with a new one of the same type and specification.
