Replacing the front or rear wiper blade

How to replace a worn wiper blade with a new one, without using tools.

Before removing the front wiper blade

• Within one minute of switching off the ignition, move the wiper switch so that the wiper arms are in the vertical position.

Use this position to avoid damaging the wipers and the bonnet.

Removal

• Lift the wiper arm.
• Unclip the wiper blade and remove it.

Fitting

• At the front, check the blade sizes, as the shorter blade is fitted on the passenger side.
• Fit the correct new wiper blade and clip it in place.
• Carefully lower the wiper arm onto the windscreen.

After fitting the front wiper blade

• Switch on the ignition.
• Switch the wiper switch on again to return the wipers to their operating position.
