Automatic mode

Automatic air conditioning provides thermal comfort in the cabin (except in extreme operating conditions) and maintains good visibility, while keeping fuel consumption at an optimal level.

The system sets the fan speed, air distribution, air recirculation, switching the air conditioning on or off, and the air temperature.

AUTO: the optimal way of reaching the selected temperature, depending on outside conditions. Press button 1.

Changing the fan speed

In automatic mode, the system sets the fan speed, adjusting it to the conditions in the cabin and maintaining a comfortable atmosphere inside the vehicle.

The fan speed can be adjusted by turning control 6 to increase or decrease the airflow.

Adjusting air temperature

Turn control 2 to the desired position.

The further it is turned to the right, the higher the temperature of the supplied air.

Special feature: the extreme settings allow the system to produce the maximum amount of cold or hot air ("18C" and "26C").

"Clear vision" function

Press button 3; the indicator light built into the button comes on.

This function allows quick defrosting or demisting of the front and rear windows, the front side windows and the outside mirrors (depending on the vehicle).

It automatically switches on the air conditioning system and the rear window defrosting function.

Press button 8 to switch off the rear window defrosting function; the indicator light built into the button goes out.

To switch the function off, press button 3 or 1 again.

Switching the air conditioning on or off

In automatic operating mode, the system switches the air conditioning on or off depending on outside climate conditions.

Press button 5 to switch off the air conditioning; the indicator light built into the button comes on.

Defrosting or demisting the rear window

Press button 8; the indicator light built into the button comes on. This function allows quick demisting of the rear window and the heated outside mirrors (on vehicles so equipped).

To switch this function off, press button 8 again. If the button is not pressed, the demisting function switches off automatically.

Changing the air distribution in the cabin

Press one of the buttons 4. The indicator light built into the button comes on.

Two or three positions can be combined at the same time by pressing two or three buttons 4.

Air flow is
distributed evenly to the windscreen, side windows and front windows.

Air flow is directed
mainly to the dashboard vents.

Air flow is directed
mainly to the occupants' feet.

Air recirculation (cabin isolation)

This function is controlled automatically, but it can also be switched on manually; in that case, activation is confirmed by the indicator light built into button 7 coming on.

Note:

• when recirculation is switched on, air is taken from the cabin and recirculated without drawing in outside air;
• air recirculation isolates the cabin from external factors (driving in areas with heavy air pollution, etc.);
• reach the desired cabin air temperature more quickly.

Using the function in manual mode

Press button 7; the indicator light built into the button comes on.

Prolonged use of recirculation may cause odours typical of enclosed spaces and fogging of the windows.

It is therefore recommended to return to automatic mode by pressing button 7 again as soon as recirculation is no longer needed.

To switch the function off, press button 7 again.

Switching off the system

Turn control 6 to OFF to switch the system off. To start it again, turn control 6 to adjust the airflow or press button 1.
