If the tow ball head covers the number plate or the rear lights of the vehicle, remove it when not towing. In all cases, observe the locally applicable regulations.

Maximum towing capacity, maximum weight of a braked and unbraked trailer: see the "Weights" section in chapter 6. When fitting the tow bar, read the tow bar instructions supplied by the manufacturer. These instructions must be kept with the other vehicle documents.
