With the engine running, do not hold the steering wheel at full lock for a long time (risk of damaging the power steering pump).

Never drive the vehicle with a weak battery.

If the engine is off or in case of a system fault, the steering wheel can always be turned. More force will be required to turn the steering wheel.

Never switch off the engine while driving (power steering assistance will be lost).
