Releasing

Pull lever 1 slightly upwards, press button 2 and lower the lever to the floor.

If you drive off with the parking brake not fully released, the red warning light will illuminate on the instrument panel.

While driving, the parking brake must be fully released (red warning light off): risk of overheating or even damage.

Applying

Pull lever 1 upwards and check that the vehicle is actually secured.

When parked, depending on the gradient and/or vehicle load, it may be necessary to apply the parking brake by at least two more notches.
