LaneSense Warning Messages
The LaneSense system will indicate the current lane status through the instrument cluster display.
Premium Instrument Cluster Display
When the LaneSense system is on, the lane lines are displayed in gray when neither lane boundary has been detected, and the LaneSense indicator light is continuously white.

Left Lane Departure — Only Left Lane Detected
- When the LaneSense system is on, the LaneSense indicator is continuously white when only the left lane marking is detected and the system is ready to provide visual warnings on the instrument cluster display if a lane departure occurs.
- When the LaneSense system detects an approaching lane boundary and a lane departure condition exists, the left lane line flashes yellow (on/off), and the LaneSense indicator changes from white to flashing yellow.
NOTE:
The LaneSense system operates similarly for a right lane departure when only the right lane marking is detected.
Left Lane Departure — Both Lanes Detected
- When the LaneSense system is on, the lane lines change from gray to white to indicate that both lane markings have been detected. The LaneSense indicator light is continuously green when both lane markings are detected and the system is on, to provide visual warnings on the instrument cluster display and a torque warning at the steering wheel in case of an unintentional lane departure.
- When the LaneSense system detects a lane drift condition, the left lane line becomes solid yellow. The LaneSense indicator changes from green to solid yellow. At this time, torque is applied to the steering wheel in the direction opposite to the lane boundary.
For example, when approaching the left side of the lane, the steering wheel will turn to the right.
