STARTING AND OPERATING

Loading

~1min read

To properly load the vehicle, first determine its empty weight by axle and side to side. Keep heavier items low and be sure to distribute their weight as evenly as possible. Securely stow all loose items before starting to drive. If weighing the loaded vehicle shows that you have exceeded either the GAWR, but the total load is within the specified GVWR, the weight must be redistributed. Incorrect weight distribution may adversely affect the handling and steering of your vehicle and how the brakes work.

NOTE:

  • Refer to the Vehicle Certification Label attached to the rear of the driver's side door for the GVWR and GAWR of your vehicle.
  • For the correct tire inflation pressures of your vehicle, refer to the Tire Placard.
