Run Flat Tires — If Equipped
Run Flat tires allow you to drive 50 miles (80 km) at 50 mph (80 km/h) after a rapid loss of internal pressure. This rapid loss of inflation is called Run Flat mode. Run Flat mode occurs when tire pressure is at or below 14 psi (96 kPa). Once a Run Flat tire reaches Run Flat mode, driving capability is limited and the tire requires immediate replacement. A Run Flat tire cannot be repaired. When replacing a Run Flat tire after driving with low tire pressure, replace the TPM sensor, as it is not designed for reuse after driving in Run Flat mode at a pressure of 14 psi (96 kPa).
NOTE:
The TPM sensor must be replaced after driving the vehicle with a flat tire.
It is not recommended to drive a fully loaded vehicle or tow a trailer while a tire is in Run Flat mode.
