Passenger compartment
Regularly check under the floor coverings for accumulated water (drips from shoes and umbrellas, etc.), which could lead to oxidation of the sheet metal.
Cleaning the seats, fabric and velour coversRemove dust with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner. The best cleaning effect on velour covers is achieved with a slightly damp brush.
Wipe the seats with a damp sponge dipped in a solution of water and neutral detergent.
Leather seatsRemove dry dirt with a slightly dampened suede or fabric cloth, without rubbing hard.
Blot stains from liquids or grease with a dry, absorbent cloth; do not rub. Then wipe lightly with a soft fabric or suede cloth dampened with water and neutral soap.
If the stain remains, use specific products and carefully follow the product instructions.
Note: never use alcohol.
Also make sure that the cleaning products used contain neither alcohol nor low-concentration alcohol derivatives.
Thefabric trim of your vehicle is designed to withstand the wear it is normally subjected to over a long period.
However, it is absolutely necessary to avoid prolonged and/or forceful friction caused by clothing accessories such as metal zippers, buckles, hook-and-loop fasteners, etc.
Avoid this, as these act locally and under high pressure on the yarns, they can cause threads to tear and damage the lining. Plastics in the passenger compartmentIt is recommended to clean the plastic interior parts regularly with a cloth dampened with water and neutral soap; do not rub. To remove greasy or stubborn stains, use specific products for cleaning plastic parts that contain no solvents and are designed not to alter the appearance or color of the components.
Note: do not use alcohol or petrol-based products to clean the instrument panel cover glass or other plastic parts.
NoteNever use flammable products such as petroleum ether or white spirit to clean vehicle interior parts. The electrostatic discharges generated by rubbing during cleaning could cause a fire.
Steering wheel/gear lever knob/handbrake covered with genuine leatherThese components must be cleaned only with water and neutral soap. Never use alcohol or alcohol-based products.
Before using specific products to clean the upholstery, carefully read the label to make sure the product contains no alcohol and/or alcohol-based substances.
If a few drops of windscreen cleaning products fall onto the leather of the steering wheel, gear lever knob or handbrake lever grip while cleaning the windscreen, remove them immediately and wash the area with water and neutral soap.
Note: when using the steering wheel lock, take great care to avoid scratching the leather trim of the steering wheel.
NoteDo not store aerosol cans in the vehicle. Risk of bursting! Aerosol cans must not be exposed to temperatures above 50°C. This temperature can be greatly exceeded in the passenger compartment when the vehicle is parked in sunlight.
