Maintenance and care

Battery

~1min read

The battery type used requires only "reduced maintenance"; under normal conditions, the electrolyte does not need to be topped up with distilled water.

However, periodic checks, which may only be carried out by the Fiat Service Network or qualified technicians, are necessary to verify its performance.

Note

The fluid contained in the battery is toxic and corrosive. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not bring open flames or spark-producing devices near the battery: risk of explosion and fire.

Note

Operating the vehicle with a low fluid level will irreversibly damage the battery and may cause explosions.
