If the vehicle is laid up for more than one month, observe the following precautions:
- Park the vehicle in a covered, dry and, if possible, well-ventilated area;
- Engage a gear;
- Make sure the handbrake is released;
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal;
- Clean painted surfaces and apply protective wax;
- Treat bright metal parts with a commercially available protective agent.
- Dust the windscreen and rear window wiper blades with talc and lift them off the glass;
- Open the windows slightly;
- Cover the vehicle with a cloth or perforated plastic cover.
Do not use solid plastic covers, as they prevent moisture on the vehicle surface from evaporating;
- Increase the specified tyre pressure by 0.5 bar and check it regularly;
- Do not drain the engine cooling system.
Note: if the vehicle is fitted with an alarm system, deactivate it using the remote control.
