Snow chains
The use of snow chains is subject to the regulations in force in each country.
Snow chains may only be fitted to the front wheels (driving wheels).
Check the tension of the snow chains after driving a few metres.
Use fine-link snow chains: for tyres 195/65 R15" and 205/55 R16", use fine-link snow chains with a maximum chain protrusion above the tread of 9 mm.
Note: snow chains cannot be fitted to the temporary spare wheel.
In the event of a front wheel puncture, fit the spare in place of the rear wheel and mount it on the front axle.
As two normal wheels are then fitted at the front again, snow chains may be used.
Note: snow chains cannot be fitted to 225/40 R18 92V tyres, as they may contact the underlying components.
When snow chains are fitted, reduce speed and do not exceed 50 km/h.
Avoid potholes. Do not drive over steps or kerbs, or on long stretches free of snow, so as not to damage the vehicle or road surface.
