Clean the rubber wiper blades regularly with suitable products; Tutela Professional SC 35 is recommended.
Replace the wiper blades when the rubber wiping lip is permanently deformed or worn. However, it is advisable to replace the wiper blades about once a year.
A few simple measures can considerably reduce the risk of damage to the wiper blades:
- At temperatures below freezing, check that the wiper blades are not frozen to the glass. If necessary, free them with a suitable de-icing product;
- Remove any snow that has accumulated on the glass: this protects the wiper blades and prevents the wiper motor from overheating;
- Do not switch on the wipers when the glass is dry.
NoteDriving with worn wiper blades is a major risk, because visibility is further reduced in adverse weather conditions.
Replacing the windscreen wiper blade
Proceed as follows:
- Lift the wiper arm away from the glass and position the wiper blade so that it forms an angle of 90° with the arm;
- Press the retaining spring tongue A (fig. 14) and pull the wiper blade to be replaced off the wiper arm;
- Fit the new wiper blade, inserting the tongue into its seat in the arm. Make sure that it has locked into place.

Proceed as follows:
- Lift the cover A (fig. 15) and remove the arm by unscrewing the nut B that secures it to the pivot pin;
- Position the new arm correctly and tighten the nut;
- Fold down the cover.
