Front courtesy light

Single-lamp courtesy light

The lens of courtesy light A fig. 19 can be set to three positions:

  • right side pressed: light always on;
  • left side pressed: light always off;
  • centre position: the light switches on/off when the doors are opened/closed.

Multi-lamp courtesy light

(depending on version/market, where fitted)

Switch A fig. 20 switches the courtesy light lamps on/off.

  • Switch A positions: centre position (position 1): lamps C and D switch on/off when the doors are opened/closed;
  • pressed to the left (position 0): lamps C and D always remain off;
  • pressed to the right (position 2): lamps C and D always remain on.

The lights switch on/off gradually.

Switch B fig. 20 positions:
  • centre position (position 1): lamps C and D always remain off;
  • pressed to the left (position 0): lamp C on;
  • pressed to the right (position 2): lamp D on.
  • WARNING Before leaving the vehicle, make sure both switches are in the centre position: when the doors are closed the lights will switch off, preventing the battery from discharging. In any case, if the switch is left in the always-on position, the courtesy light switches off automatically about 15 minutes after the engine is switched off.

    Courtesy light timing

    On some versions, to make getting in and out of the vehicle easier, especially at night or in poorly lit places, two timing logics are available:

    • entering the vehicle;
    • leaving the vehicle.
