Getting to know the vehicle

Rear seats

Enlarging the luggage compartment

Proceed as follows:

  • remove the parcel shelf;
  • move the seat belts to the side, making sure the belts are correctly extended without twists;
  • if a rear third seat is fitted (for versions/markets where provided), unclip the centre belt, letting the buckle retract into its housing in the roof lining;
  • operate the levers on the sides of the rear seats fig. 10, pushing them towards the inside of the vehicle, fold the backrest forward and then lower the backrest onto the cushion.

Repositioning the backrests

Move the seat belts to the side, making sure the belts are correctly extended without twists. Raise the previously folded backrest until you feel the locking mechanism click into place.

CAUTION 7) All adjustments must be carried out only when the vehicle is stationary.

8) If side airbags are fitted, using seat covers other than those available from the MOPAR Accessories line is dangerous.

9) After releasing the adjustment lever, always check that the seat is locked on its runners by trying to move it forward and backward. Failure to lock the seat could cause it to move unexpectedly and result in loss of vehicle control.

10) If there are passengers on the rear seats, remove all potentially sharp objects that could cause injury in the event of an accident. CAUTION 2) The fabric seat coverings are designed to withstand normal vehicle use wear for a long time.

However, avoid traumatic and/or prolonged rubbing with clothing accessories such as metal buckles, studs, Velcro fastenings and the like, as these, acting locally and with high pressure on the threads, could tear them and damage the seat covering.

3) Before folding the backrest, remove any objects on the seat cushion.
