TYRE ROTATION RECOMMENDATIONS

The front and rear axle tyres are subjected to different loads and work differently during steering, driving and braking. For this reason, they wear at different rates.

This effect can be counteracted by rotating the tyres periodically.

The benefits of tyre rotation are particularly significant for tyres with pronounced tread patterns, suitable for both road and off-road use.

Rotating the tyres extends their service life, helps maintain adequate grip in mud, snow and on wet roads, and ensures excellent vehicle handling.

If the tyres show abnormal wear, identify and correct the cause before rotating them.

CAUTION

164) Do not rotate tyres with a directional tread pattern.

Always make sure tyres are not fitted in the direction opposite to that indicated on the tyre; otherwise there is a risk of losing grip and control of the vehicle.

CAUTION

53) The grip of the vehicle's wheels on the road also depends on correct tyre pressure.

54) Pressure that is too low will cause the tyre to overheat, with the possibility of serious damage.

55) Do not swap tyres diagonally, i.e. moving them from the right side of the vehicle to the left and vice versa.

56) Do not paint or bake alloy wheel rims at temperatures above 150°C.

The mechanical properties of the rims may deteriorate.
