Introduction

Normal Operation and Fault Symptoms

Refer to DTC Fault Trigger Conditions.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

Trouble Code Description Fault Trigger Condition
PCM P0315:00 Crankshaft position system change not studied: no subtype information Set when the PCM has not learned the crankshaft tone wheel tooth interval. This DTC disables the misfire monitor. The misfire monitor neutral profile correction must be relearned after any installation or repair of rotating engine components. Perform the misfire monitor neutral profile correction procedure using the scan tool. Refer to EEPROM, Neutral Profile Correction.
PCM P0335:00 Crankshaft Position Sensor 'A' Circuit: no subtype information Set when the PCM detects no CKP sensor PIP pulses for a calibrated number of camshaft revolutions while camshaft speed exceeds the equivalent engine idle speed or the starter is engaged. A missing CKP signal results in a no-start condition. Monitor the RPM PID while cranking the engine. A value of 0 RPM indicates a CKP concern.
PCM P0339:00 Crankshaft Position Sensor 'A' Circuit Intermittent: no subtype information Set when the PCM detects multiple erroneous PIP pulses in the CKP sensor signal within a calibrated period of time while camshaft speed exceeds the equivalent engine idle speed or the starter is engaged.
PCM P033F:00 Crankshaft/Camshaft Position Sync Loss: no subtype information Set when the PCM detects an unstable input signal from the CKP sensor or CMP sensor.
PCM P1336:00 Crankshaft/Camshaft Position Sensor Range/Performance: no subtype information Set when the PCM detects an unstable input signal from the CKP sensor or CMP sensor.
PCM P2617:00 Crankshaft Position Output Circuit / Open: no subtype information Set when the PCM detects that the CKP sensor bias voltage is lower than the calibrated minimum or higher than the calibrated maximum threshold.
