For cloth, carpet, fabric seats and seats with side airbags:

  • Remove dust and loose dirt with a vacuum cleaner.
  • Remove light stains and dirt from carpet with Motorcraft Professional Strength Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner.
  • If the material contains grease or resin, first clean the area with Motorcraft Spot Remover. In Canada, use Motorcraft Multi-Purpose Cleaner.
  • If spot cleaning leaves a ring on the fabric, clean the entire area immediately (but do not oversaturate), otherwise the ring will set.
  • Do not use household cleaners or glass cleaners that may leave residue, discolor the fabric, or affect the flame-retardant properties of the seat materials.

Mirrors

Do not clean the housing or glass of any mirror with harsh abrasives, fuel, or other petroleum-based or ammonia-based cleaners.
