Cleaning Windows and Wiper Blades
In this manual: Vehicle Care
~1min read
Car wash chemicals and environmental fallout can cause windshield and wiper blade contamination. A dirty windshield and wiper blades will result in poor wiper performance. Keep the windshield and wiper blades clean to maintain windshield wiper performance.
To clean the windshield and wiper blades:
- Clean the windshield with a non-abrasive glass cleaner. When cleaning the inside of the windshield, avoid getting glass cleaner on the instrument panel or door panels. Immediately wipe any cleaner off these surfaces.
- For windshields contaminated with tree sap, chemicals, wax or insects, clean the entire windshield using #0000 grade steel wool in a circular motion and rinse with water.
- Clean the wiper blades with isopropyl alcohol or windshield washer concentrate.
