For your additional safety, your vehicle is equipped with a sophisticated electronic control system.

On-Board Diagnostics Data Link Connector

Your vehicle is equipped with an OBD Data Link Connector (DLC), which is used together with a diagnostic scan tool to diagnose, repair and reprogram vehicles. Installing an aftermarket device that uses the DLC during normal driving for certain purposes, such as remote monitoring by an insurance company, transmitting vehicle data to other devices or objects, or changing vehicle characteristics, may cause interference with or even damage to vehicle systems. We do not recommend or approve the use of aftermarket plug-in devices unless approved by Ford. Vehicle warranty will not cover damage caused by an aftermarket plug-in device.
