Cleaning the exterior
WARNING
If you use a car wash with wax application, remember to remove the wax from the windscreen afterwards.
NOTES
Before driving the vehicle into a car wash, make sure it is suitable for your vehicle.
Some car washes use high-pressure water jets. These may damage certain vehicle components.
Remove the antenna before driving into an automatic car wash.
Switch off the blower to prevent the pollen filter from becoming dirty.
We recommend washing the vehicle with a sponge and lukewarm water with car shampoo added.
Cleaning the headlamps
NOTES
Do not scratch the headlamp lenses, and do not use abrasive materials or alcohol-based or chemical solvents to clean them.
Do not wipe the headlamps when they are dry.
Cleaning the rear window
CAUTION
Do not scratch the inside surface of the rear window, and do not use abrasive materials or solvents to clean it.
To clean the inside surface of the rear window, use a clean, smooth cloth or a damp chamois leather.
Cleaning chrome surfaces
CAUTION
Do not use abrasive materials or solvents. Use soapy water.
Protecting the body paintwork
NOTES
Do not polish the vehicle in strong sunlight.
Avoid getting polish on plastic parts. Polish stains may be difficult to remove.
Do not apply polish to the windshield or rear window. It may cause the wipers to squeak and reduce their wiping effectiveness.
We recommend waxing the paint finish once or twice a year.
