Anti-pinch feature

~1min read

WARNING

Careless closing of the window may cause this feature to fail and result in injury.

Note: The anti-pinch feature is available for the driver window only.

The power window stops automatically while closing and reverses a short distance if it encounters an obstruction.

Disabling the anti-pinch feature

CAUTION

When you close the window for the third time, the anti-pinch feature is disabled.

Make sure there are no obstructions in the path of the closing window.

To close the window despite an obstruction, for example in winter, proceed as follows:

1. Close the window twice until it encounters an obstruction and let it move back.

2. Close the window a third time to the point where the obstruction is. The anti-pinch feature is disabled and the window cannot close automatically. The window will overcome the resistance and can be closed fully.

3. If the window does not close after the third attempt, have it checked by a suitably trained technician.
