WARNINGS

  • Your vehicle has been tested and certified as compliant with legal requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (Directive 72/245/EEC, UN ECE Regulation 10 or other applicable local regulations). It is your responsibility to ensure that any equipment you fit complies with the applicable local regulations. Any additional equipment should be fitted by suitably trained technicians.
  • Equipment using RF (radio frequency) transmitters (e.g. mobile phones, amateur radio transmitters, etc.) may only be fitted in the vehicle if it complies with the parameters given in the table below. There are no special guidelines or conditions for installation or use.
  • Do not mount any transceivers, microphones, speakers or other components in the airbag deployment path.
  • Do not attach antenna cables to the vehicle's original electrical wiring, fuel lines or brake lines.
  • Antenna cables and power cables must be at least 10 centimetres away from any electronic modules and airbags.

Note: After fitting radio transmitters, check for interference caused by the vehicle's electrical equipment, and for interference affecting the transmitter, both in standby and transmitting modes.

Check all electrical equipment:

  • with the ignition ON
  • with the engine running
  • while driving at various speeds.

Check that the electromagnetic fields generated inside the vehicle by the installed transmitter do not exceed the standards for permissible human exposure.
