WARNINGS
- Do not adjust the seats while the vehicle is moving.
- The seat belt holds the body, allowing the airbag to protect effectively, provided it is correctly fastened.
When used correctly, the seat, head restraint, seat belt and airbags provide optimum protection in the event of a collision. We recommend following these guidelines:
- sit upright with the base of your spine as far back as possible.
- do not recline the seatback by more than 30 degrees.
- adjust the head restraint so that its top edge is level with the top of your head, and as far forward as possible while remaining comfortable.
- maintain an adequate distance from the steering wheel. We recommend a minimum distance of 250 mm between your chest and the airbag cover.
- hold the steering wheel so that your arms are slightly bent at the elbows.
- your legs should be bent at an angle that allows you to fully depress the pedals.
- route the upper seat belt strap across the middle of your shoulder and the lower strap so that it lies snugly across your hips.
Make sure you sit comfortably while driving and can maintain full control of the vehicle.
