1. Disconnect the trailer.

2. Remove the cap. Press the cap into the key housing.

Insert the key and unlock (1).

3. Hold the tow hitch. Pull out the knob, turn it clockwise as far as it will go (2), and remove the hitch (3).

4. Release the knob.

Once the hitch has been unlocked in this way, it can be reinstalled at any time.

Driving without a trailer

1. Remove the tow hitch.

2. Insert the plug into its socket (1).

WARNING

Never unlock the tow hitch arm while a trailer is connected.
