The system improves vehicle stability when the vehicle begins to drift off the intended path. This is achieved by braking individual wheels and appropriately reducing engine torque.

The system also improves traction by reducing engine torque when the wheels begin to slip during acceleration. This makes it easier to start moving on slippery or soft surfaces and improves comfort by limiting wheel spin when cornering sharply.

Emergency Brake Assist

The system detects emergency braking by measuring the force applied to the brake pedal. The system provides maximum braking force for as long as the brake pedal remains pressed. The system can shorten the braking distance in a hazardous situation.
