Automatic Wipers (IF EQUIPPED)
Wet or wintry driving conditions with ice, snow or salt road spray may cause inconsistent and unexpected wiping or smearing.

- High sensitivity.
- Automatic wipers are on.
- Low sensitivity.
Move the wiper lever up to the first position to turn on the automatic wipers.
Use the rotary control to adjust the automatic wiper sensitivity. When you select low sensitivity, the wipers operate when the sensor detects a large amount of water on the windshield. When you select high sensitivity, the wipers operate when the sensor detects a small amount of water on the windshield.
Keep the outside of the windshield clean. The rain sensor is very sensitive and the wipers may activate if dirt, fog, or insects get on the windshield.
In these conditions, you can do the following:
- Decrease the automatic wiper sensitivity to reduce the amount of smearing on the windshield.
- Switch to normal or high speed wiping.
- Turn off the automatic wipers.
Automatic Wiper Settings
The automatic wipers are on by default and remain on until you turn them off in the information display. When the automatic wipers are off, the wipers operate in intermittent mode.
