Front and Rear Outboard Head Restraints

Rear Center Head Restraint

Ford Fusion. Head Restraints

The head restraints consist of:

  1. Energy-Absorbing Head Restraint
  2. Two steel posts.
  3. The guide sleeve is adjustable and the release button unlocks it.
  4. Unlock and remove the guide sleeve button (if equipped).

Head Restraint Adjustment

Raising the Head Restraint

Pull the head restraint up.

Lowering the Head Restraint

  1. Press and hold button C.
  2. Lower the head restraint.

Head Restraint Removal (IF EQUIPPED)

  1. Pull the head restraint up until it reaches its highest position.
  2. Press and hold buttons C and D.
  3. Pull the head restraint up.

Head Restraint Installation

Align the steel posts with the guide sleeves and push the head restraint down until it locks.

Tilting Head Restraints (IF EQUIPPED)

Ford Fusion. Head Restraints

The front head restraints tilt forward for additional comfort.

  1. Set the seatback to the upright driving or riding position.
  2. Tilt the head restraint forward to the desired position.

After the head restraint reaches the fully forward tilted position, tilt it forward again and release it, then move it back without changing the position.
