Is DTC U0155:87 still present?
Yes GO to K7
No The system is currently operating correctly. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent condition.
K7 CHECK FOR OTHER CAUSES OF COMMUNICATION NETWORK CONCERNS
  • CHECK the vehicle service history for recent service actions related to the IPC, GWM or IPMA. If recent service history is found:
    • make sure the correct replacement module was installed
      • HVBOM can be used to verify the correct part installation.
    • make sure the replacement module configuration was correct
      • reconfigure the module using the original data if the previous configuration is suspected
    • make sure the module was not obtained from a similar vehicle and installed on the customer's vehicle
      • Reinstall the replaced module in the original vehicle and obtain a new replacement module.
  • Operate the system and determine whether the observed symptom persists.

Is the observed symptom still present?
Yes GO to K8
No The system is currently operating correctly. The concern may have been caused by incorrect part replacement procedures or incorrect module configuration.
K8 VERIFY IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) OPERATION
  • Ignition OFF.
  • Disconnect and inspect the IPC connector and the associated inline connectors.
  • Repair:
    • corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
    • damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
    • backed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
  • Reconnect the IPC connector and the associated inline connectors. Make sure they are fully seated and locked.
  • Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.

Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If a TSB exists for this concern, STOP this test and FOLLOW the TSB instructions. If the TSBs do not resolve the concern,
Ford Fusion. Lane Keeping System. Diagnosis and TestingClick here to access the guided procedure (IPC).Ford Fusion. Lane Keeping System. Diagnosis and Testing Internet Explorer version 11 or later is required to perform this Pinpoint test.
No The system is currently operating correctly. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
