Airbag lato passeggero
The passenger airbag is designed to deploy in the event of a severe side or near-frontal impact. The airbag inflates in a few thousandths of a second, cushioning the forward movement of the body, and deflates on contact with the occupant. It is not designed to deploy in frontal, rear or side impacts of lower severity, or in the event of a vehicle rollover.

Installing the passenger airbag deactivation switch

DANGER

Deactivate the passenger airbag when using a rear-facing child seat on the front passenger seat.

If it is necessary to install a child seat on a seat in front of which there is an airbag, a passenger airbag deactivation switch must be fitted. Contact an authorised dealer.

Deactivate the passenger airbag when using a rear-facing child seat on the front passenger seat.

Turn the switch to position A.

When the ignition is switched on, check that the airbag deactivation indicator lights up.

Note: The key switch is located in the glove box, and the airbag deactivation indicator is on the instrument cluster.

Passenger airbag activation

DANGER

Deactivate the passenger airbag when using a rear-facing child seat on the front passenger seat.

Turn the switch to position B.

When the ignition is switched on, check that the airbag warning light comes on.

Note: The key switch is located in the glove box, and the airbag deactivation indicator is on the instrument cluster.
