Checking the MyKey System Status
MyKey distance
With MyKey, the system tracks distance. The only way to reset the accumulated distance is to delete all MyKeys using the admin key. If the expected distance is not accumulating, the intended user is not using the MyKey, or an admin key user has recently cleared and then recreated a MyKey.
MyKey countShows the number of MyKeys programmed for the vehicle. This function is used to check how many MyKeys exist for the specific vehicle and to verify that all MyKeys have been deleted.
Admin key countShows how many administrator keys are programmed for the vehicle. This function is used to determine how many MyKey keys exist for the specific vehicle and to detect whether an additional MyKey has been programmed.
Using MyKey with remote start systems
MyKey is not compatible with non-approved, aftermarket remote start systems. If you want to install a remote start system, contact an authorized dealer for a Ford-approved system.
