The system allows you to program keys with restricted driving modes to encourage good driving habits. These restricted modes can be activated on all keys programmed for the vehicle except one.

Any keys that have not been programmed are called admin keys. These can be used to:

  • Create a MyKey.
  • Program the configurable MyKey settings.
  • Clear all MyKey functions.
After creating a MyKey, you can access the following information using the information display:
  • Number of admin keys and MyKeys programmed for the vehicle.
  • Total distance driven by the vehicle with a MyKey.
Note: All MyKeys are programmed with the same settings. They cannot be programmed individually.

Note: Turn the ignition on to use the system.

Non-configurable settings

The following settings cannot be changed by an admin key user:

  • Seat belt not fastened warning. This function cannot be disabled. When this function is activated, the audio system turns off.
  • Early low fuel level warning. The low fuel warning activates early so the MyKey user has more time to refuel.
  • Any driver assistance features fitted to the vehicle, such as the ultrasonic parking system, are permanently enabled. These systems activate automatically every time the ignition is turned on.
Configurable settings

Using an admin key, you can configure some MyKey settings when you create a MyKey for the first time and before performing a full ignition on/off cycle or restarting the vehicle.

Settings can also be changed later using an admin key:
  • You can set vehicle speed limits. When the vehicle reaches the set speed, a message appears on the display, followed by an audible alert. The set speed cannot be exceeded by fully pressing the accelerator pedal.
  • You can set multiple speed alerts for the vehicle. When the vehicle exceeds the set speed, the relevant messages appear on the display, followed by an audible alert.
  • Maximum audio system volume set to 45%. If you try to exceed the volume limit, a warning message appears on the display. The automatic speed-dependent volume control function is also disabled.
  • Always on setting. When this setting is selected, the automatic emergency call or the "Do Not Disturb" function (if the vehicle is equipped with them) cannot be turned off.
