If the switch is set to B, the courtesy light turns on when a door or the tailgate is unlocked or opened. If the ignition is switched off with a door open, the courtesy light will switch off automatically after a set period of time to prevent the vehicle battery from discharging. To turn it on again, switch on the ignition for a short period of time.

The courtesy light also turns on when the ignition is switched off. The light will switch off automatically after a short period of time or when the engine is started.

If the switch is set to position C with the ignition off, the courtesy light turns on. The light will switch off automatically after a set period of time to prevent the vehicle battery from discharging. To turn it on again, switch on the ignition for a short period of time.
